About Met Advanced Technology
Especially after Oğuz Deniz Merdin, Murat Merdin’s brother, joined the company in 2014, the company had the opportunity to develop and commercialise many products from automatic production lines to conveyor systems, from qualified machine control software to special machines. Our company, which has reached a total of 20 projects within 5 years following its establishment, has made 17 Patent Applications, 3 Utility Model Applications and 5 Trademark Applications within the scope of these projects.
MET Advanced Technology Systems Limited Company was established as a start-up in Teknopark Izmir with the support received by Murat Merdin in 2013, which was then called 1512 Programme, the current name of which is Individual Young Initiative (BIGG). MET, which started its activities to carry out its patented project “High Efficiency Heat Exchangers and Radiators” with the capital support of 100.000,00 TL given by TÜBİTAK, has created 2 different successful products in its project. The developed products have been reported in the national press due to their success.
Despite the emergence of such successful products, MET has started to carry out Industrial Automation and Robotics projects, realising that it is difficult to continue commercial life with only this project due to many reasons such as the raw material being Aluminium, exchange rates, economic conditions in our country, long payment times of the construction sector. The reporting of R&D projects to the Ministry of Science Industry Technology, which is one of the requirements of operating in Technopark, also reveals MET’s project history and story.
MET is a technology startup revolutionising industrial automation with AI-powered solutions. We have generated 28 patents since 2013 and have become a trusted technology supplier to the home appliance, automotive and aerospace industries, as well as to top companies at CERN. Our solutions such as the Autonomous Assembly Robot CERBERUS, the Industrial Microwave Oven METWAVE, the Fig Sorting Robot METSORT and the Predictive Maintenance Product METSENSE enable digital, fast and efficient production processes. With our state-of-the-art R&D and production infrastructure at MET Factory, we are able to develop agile and cutting-edge robotic solutions.
With its patents registered as Examined and Unexamined, Registered Utility Models and Trademarks, MET, which has created Intellectual Industrial Property Rights in the products it has developed with its own means and found the opportunity to commercialize these products, has achieved these successes with 100% Domestic and Turkish Engineering.
